Phyllom debuts three bioinsecticides in US
The US biopesticide company, Phyllom BioProducts (Oakland, California), has launched three Bacillus thuringiensis subsp galleriae-based bioinsecticides for the control of coleopteran pests in the US. GrubGone! G is the first Bt product developed as a spreadable granule for use against beetle grubs in the root zone, Phyllom points out. It is aimed at the turf and ornamental market. BeetleGone! tlc is a sprayable formulation for foliar application to ornamentals, trees and edible plants. BeetleGone! ag is for use on agricultural crops and is certified for organic crop use. The US EPA proposed the registrations of two Bt subsp galleriae-based formulations last year (Agrow No 665, p 24).
