Bayer debuts Luna Experience in Mexico and Chile
Bayer CropScience has launched its combination fungicide, Luna Experience, based on the benzamide active ingredient, fluopyram and the established tebuconazole, in Chile and Mexico. The debut in Chile follows that of Mexico earlier this year for use on cucumbers, melons, squash and watermelons. Luna Experience is for the control of Botrytis bunch rot and powdery mildew (Uncinula necator) on grapevines, leaf mould (Fulvia spp) on tomatoes, powdery mildew (Erysiphe spp) on cucurbits, and apple scab (Venturia inaequalis) and powdery mildew (Podosphaera spp) on pome fruits. It is to be applied at 500-700 ml/ha. The combination fungicide was first launched two years ago in Turkey, followed later that year in the US under the same name (Agrow No 634, p 18).
