Bayer issues illegal spirotetramat warning in China

Bayer CropScience (China) has issued a warning to unlicensed manufacturers and retailers of the company’s insecticide/acaricide, spirotetramat, in China. Spirotetramat, marketed as Movento in English and Miaowangte in Chinese, is a registered product in China and any company engaging in the unauthorised manufacture of the active ingredient or insecticides containing the ai is doing so illegally, the company says in a statement published by China’s Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals. Bayer “reserves the right” to take legal action against any infringement of its intellectual property rights, and urged Chinese consumers to make sure they are buying “genuine” products.
