Argentina launches national safe use campaign

The Argentine Ministry of Agriculture is promoting and conducting training in a national campaign on the safe use of pesticides. It gave a demonstration of different operations on the aerial and terrestrial application of pesticides and GAP such as the recycling of empty pesticide containers this month. The presentation of GAP at the agricultural technology institute, the INTA, site focused on the use of products near semi-urban areas. Argentina has recently updated rules on application of products near urban areas including new regulations in different regions (Agrow passim). The dissemination of guidelines is being co-ordinated by the Ministry, the INTA, the crop protection association, the Casafe, and the national association of crop dusters, the Fearca, among others.
