Bayer opens extra fungicide plant in Switzerland
Bayer CropScience has opened a fungicide production plant at its Muttenz site in Switzerland. The company has invested in the plant to meet growing demand for its trifloxystrobin products. The new plant extends the site to some 6,675 m, which houses state-of-the-art technology in compliance with the latest environmental standards, Bayer says. It produces various intermediates for the synthesis of trifloxystrobin. Around 30 jobs will be added by 2015.
