BASF/Adama agree on EU metazachlor use
BASF and ChemChina subsidiary Adama Agricultural Solutions have issued recommendations on the use of the herbicide, metazachlor, in the EU. The companies have agreed specific meaures and an information fund to educate on the active ingredient’s use to protect water courses. They believe that findings of degradates in surface and ground water could lead to an essentially safe product having inappropriate restrictions applied. They recommend no applications from early October to mid-March.
