Ivory Coast approves Bayer insecticide

The Ivory Coast has granted Bayer CropScience approval for its combination insecticide, Belt Expert 480 SC (flubendiamde + thiacloprid), for use on cotton. The suspension concentrate formulation is for the control of caterpillars and sucking insects. Bayer says that the insecticide is complementary to already available insecticides. Flubendiamide was discovered by Nihon Nohyaku and is being co-developed for worldwide markets with Bayer CropScience. Bayer has also mixed the active ingredient with buprofezin, and by Nihon with imidacloprid.
