Ag groups push Obama to tackle China GMO controversy

A coalition of 13 agricultural groups has urged the Obama administration to pressure China to expedite efforts to revamp its agricultural biotechnology policy at next month's Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Leaders' Summit. In a letter sent earlier this month to President Barack Obama, the organisations argue that Chinese policies are harming US growers and threaten a key export market worth some $17 billion.
