Brazil to raise tebuconazole tariff
Brazilian authorities are mulling an increase in tariffs for the fungicide, tebuconazole. The Ministry of Development has proposed an increase for the technical product (active ingredient with impurities) from 12% to 14%, and of the formulated product from 8% to 14%. The increase is to bring tariffs in line with other Mercosul trading bloc national rates through a harmonised system. The other Mercosul trading bloc countries are Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. The proposal was issued in the official gazette late last month including a 30-day comment period ending November 25th.
