Spain to amend rules on biocontrols
The Spanish government has ratified a Ministry of Agriculture proposal amending laws governing non-chemical crop protection products. The Ministry sought a decree on the matter. The new regulation will affect biological control agents, traps and pheromones used for monitoring, setting the requirements to be fulfilled, the approval and communication procedures, and the conditions for registration and marketing of the same. The Ministry says that the measures will improve transparency, increasing the information that growers receive.
