Nippon Kayaku agchems up 10% in Q2
Japanese company Nippon Kayaku recorded a 10% rise in agrochemical sales to some ¥1,100 million ($9.7 million at the current rate) in the three months to September 30th 2014. Domestic sales increased but exports declined in the second quarter of fiscal 2015. The second-quarter rise offset a 10% decline in sales to ¥900 million ($7.9 million) in the first quarter, resulting in first-half revenues being flat at ¥2,000 million ($17.6 million). The company forecasts agrochemical sales of ¥6,900 million ($60.7 million) in the year ending March 31st 2015, an increase of 9.5% on fiscal 2014. Agrochemical sales amounted to ¥6,245 million ($54.9 million) in fiscal 2014, with domestic and overseas revenues down on the previous year.
