Bayer expands Canadian pesticide plant
Bayer CropScience has expanded its Canadian agrochemical formulation and packaging plant in Regina, Saskatchewan. Planning for the Can$6.5 million (US$5.7 million) expansion started in 2011. The new "state-of-the-art" filling and packaging lines are designed to increase capacity, flexibility and efficiency for future growth opportunities, the company points out. The 161,000 sq ft (15,000 m2) facility handles 30 million litres of pesticides annually across 40 product lines.
