Adama expands US state approvals for Nimitz
ChemChina subsidiary Adama Agricultural Solutions has received approval for its new nematicide, Nimitz (fluensulfone 480 g/litre), in the major vegetable-growing US state of Florida. The company received federal EPA approval for the product in September. Adama has received 13 state registrations for Nimitz and expects approvals in California, Arizona and other vegetable-growing states by the end of this year. Nimitz is approved for use on fruiting and cucurbit vegetables including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants (aubergines), okra, cucumbers, melons and squash. Adama plans to apply for EPA approval for use on potatoes, strawberries, carrots, tobacco and turf in the near future.
