Spain issues decree on agchem approval system
Spain has issued a decree to regulate its pesticide approval system to bring it into line with EU rules. The directive regulates Spain’s participation in EU pesticide active ingredient and product authorisation procedures, including the establishment of the competent authorities on evaluation reports. They will include the directorate general of health in agricultural production and the directorate general of environmental evaluation and quality. Approval deadlines have been set at six months, and will be issued through the Ministry of Agriculture’s website.
