Chinese company to build biopesticide formulation plant
Zhejiang Wasion Crop Protection, a subsidiary of Chinese company Zhejiang Well-done Chemical, has started work on the construction of an 80,000 m chemical plant. The plant will have an annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes/year of what it calls “environmentally friendly” biological pesticide formulations, and will also produce chemical fertilisers and pesticide packaging. The project will involve an investment of some Yuan 280 million ($46 million at the current rate), and expected annual revenues of Yuan 1,500 million ($245 million). The company claims that the new plant is “in line with the developmental trends of the worldwide biological pesticide formulation market”.
