India to computerise all pesticide applications
The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) is convening an open-house session with pesticide industry associations on April 8th to discuss the complete computerisation of all pesticide application submitted to it. The software for registration was released last year. Suggestions received from the industry on its functioning have been addressed and the software has been suitably modified to ensure the filing of applications in a “user friendly and secured manner”, the CIBRC says. It is presently receiving applications online as well as manually but will dispense with the manual system shortly.
