Brazil to reassess glyphosate in 2015-16
The Brazilian national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, is to conclude the re-evaluations of six pesticide active ingredients including the herbicide, glyphosate, in 2015-16. The targets headline the agency’s recently issued two-year work plan. The other ais to be evaluated are: the insecticides, abamectin and carbofuran; the herbicides, lactofen and paraquat; and the fungicide, thiram. The ais were among 14 that the Anvisa initiated reassessments for some six years ago.
