China issues more manufacturing approvals
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has issued a list of 168 pesticide manufacturing approvals. The majority of the authorisations are for pesticide processing or mixing of agrochemical compounds, while only two companies were granted approvals for the manufacture of active ingredients. The first came for Hebei Veyong Bio-Chemical, which was awarded four approvals for: the herbicide, glufosinate-ammonium (95%); the insecticides, clothianidin (95%) and pymetrozine (98%); and the fungicide, azoxystrobin (97%). The second company to receive ai manufacturing approvals was Jiangsu Yunfan Chemical, for the herbicides, tebuthiuron (95%) and oxyfluorfen (97%). More approvals were given to insecticides/acaricides than any other product type, with 66 approvals.
