Six new ai names from ISO
The ISO Technical Committee on Common Names for Pesticides has provisionally approved six new active ingredient names. Four are for insecticides and two for fungicides. Bayer CropScience's dipymetitrone is a fungicide being developed under the code name, BCS-BB98685. Kappa-bifenthrin and kappa-tefluthrin are single isomer versions of the pyrethroid insecticides, bifenthrin and tefluthrin, respectively, being developed by Cheminova. Dicloromezotiaz is a zwitterionic insecticide from DuPont being developed as DPX-RDS63. Mitsui Chemicals Agro's broflanilide is a novel mode of action insecticide with the development code, MCI-8007. It is being developed in partnership with BASF. Pyraziflumid is an anilide fungicide from Nihon Nohyaku being developed as NNF-0721.
