Australia prioritises spray drift labelling
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has drawn up a priority list of 44 pesticides to be reviewed for the management of spray drift. New spray drift labelling rules came into force on March 1st ( Agrow No 587, p 25). The initial list of pesticides to be reviewed has been drawn up on the basis of hazard characteristics, use rates and reports of spray drift incidents. The APVMA is seeking nominations for further review candidates and it may adjust its priorities based on available information.
