Canada confirms aminopyralid special review decision
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has confirmed its decision to maintain the continued registration of Dow AgroSciences' aminopyralid-based herbicides following a special review of the active ingredient. The Agency proposed the move in April. The PMRA concludes that aminopyralid does not pose an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. The special review was triggered by the 2011 ban of the herbicide in Norway due to environmental concerns.
