Canada to approve Koppert biofungicides
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposes to approve Dutch bioproducts company Koppert Biological Systems' Trichoderma harzianum strain T22-based biofungicides, Trianum G and Trianum WG. They are for the suppression of various root diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum and Pythium spp on field crops, greenhouse crops and greenhouse ornamentals, and dollar spot (Sclerotinia homeocarpa) and microdochium patch (Microdochium nivale) on turf. The products were approved by the US EPA in January. The Canadian approval decision is open to public comment until January 17th 2015.
