BASF to debut anti-counterfeit tool in Brazil
BASF is to launch an anti-counterfeiting device, the DAF, in Brazil next month for its crop protection products, national media report. The tool will facilitate identification of the originality of the company’s products. DAF has a bi-metallic aluminium and copper hologram. The user would be able to see 2D and 3D effect stars and spirals with varying colours depending on the angle of vision, with the word BASF appearing via a laser point. The product is initially aimed at fipronil- and pyraclostrobin (trade-marked as F500)-based single and combination fungicides and insecticides, including Opera (epoxiconazole + pyraclostrobin), Orkestra (fluxapyroxad - trade-marked as Xemium + pyraclostrobin), Standak Top (pyraclostrobin + thiophanate-methyl + fipronil), Regent (fipronil), Tuit Florestal (both fipronil), and Regent Duo (fipronil + alpha-cypermethrin).
