ECHA updates guidance for biocide suppliers list
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has updated its guidance for biocidal product suppliers seeking inclusion in the EU suppliers list. By September 2015, biocidal products, including non-crop pesticides, cannot be sold unless the relevant active ingredient supplier or product supplier is listed. The guidance provides further clarification on certain issues, particularly the information requirements for applications for inclusion. The first official list was published in September as part of the implementation of the EU biocidal products Regulation (528/2012) and will be regularly updated by the ECHA. The Agency repeats its reminder to companies to allow enough time for data-sharing negotiations, submitting the application, and covering the need to provide additional data if the ECHA draft decision is negative.
