Dow to debut seven agchems for UK market in 2015

Dow AgroSciences is to launch seven products in the UK next year. The company says that product details are subject to registrations. “Each of our three key portfolios – cereals, oilseed rape and grassland – will all see new introductions [in 2015].” The company has introduced at least one product each year in the UK for the past few years. A year ago, it debuted the herbicide, AstroKerb (propyzamide + 500 g/litre + aminopyralid 5.3 g/litre) for use on oilseed rape. The contact and residual herbicide is a suspension concentrate formulation for the control of blackgrass (Alopecurus myosuroides), poppy, mayweed (Matricaria chamomilla) and other grass and broad-leaved weeds. Other products it highlights have included combination herbicides with the active ingredient, pyroxsulam. They started with Broadway Star, which includes florasulam, and in 2011, GF-2017, and the following year as Unite (pyroxsulam 6.9% + flupyrsulfuron-methyl-sodium 3.7% + cloquintocet-mexyl safener), on cereals.
