Ukrainian facility gets seed treatment certification
A seed production facility in Ukraine has become the first site outside the EU to be certified with the European Seed Association’s quality assurance scheme for seed treatment and treated seed. French seed company Maisadour Seeds’ facility in Mogilev, Ukraine has been awarded the European Seed Treatment Assurace (ESTA) certification. ESTA combines a number of elements to guarantee professional, high-quality seed treatment applications such as independent certification of treatment sites by accredited auditors, defined quality reference values with a uniform testing protocol, and safe use information and respective labelling for users. Maisadour Seeds was also certified at its other two facilities, Haut-Mauco in France and Zaragoza in Spain, earlier in the year.
