Gowan debuts liquid dinotefuran in US
The US agrochemical company, Gowan (Yuma, Arizona), has received US approval for a new formulation of Mitsui Chemical’s neonicotinoid insecticide, dinotefuran. Gowan will market the 389 g/litre soluble concentrate formulation, Scorpion 35SL, for use on potatoes, brassicas and other vegetables, cucurbits and grapevines. It is recommended for soil and foliar applications to control sucking and chewing pests. Application rates range from 2 fl oz/acre (0.1 litre/ha) to 13 fl oz/acre. Sumitomo Chemical subsidiary Valent USA Corporation markets dinotefuran as a 70% soluble granule formulation, Venom, for use on the same crops.
