Glyphosate boosts Aceto in Q3
The US company, Aceto (Lake Success, New York), saw its crop protection sales nearly double in the three months ended March 31st 2010. The introduction of the herbicide, glyphosate, during the quarter contributed to a 95.9% rise in agrochemical sales to $11.4 million. Sales for the first nine months of fiscal 2010 were up by 42% to $18.1 million. Agrochemicals accounted for 6% of Aceto’s total sales in fiscal 2009.
