BASF/Meiji Seika deal on new insecticide
BASF has signed an agreement with Japanese company Meiji Seika for the co-development of a new insecticide for the control of piercing and sucking insects. The active ingredient has been code named ME5343. Meiji Seika has granted BASF an exclusive licence to develop and commercialise the ai globally, except in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, where it will hold the exclusive licence. No financial details have been disclosed.
