Canadian OK for established biopesticide
The Canadian Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency has granted conditional approval to US company M & R Durango’s Nosema locustae-based biopesticide, Nolo Bait, for the suppression of grasshoppers and crickets in crops and rangeland. The product has been registered in the US since 1980. N locustae was one of the first biopesticides to undergo registration review in the US ( Agrow No 534, p 13). The EPA completed the review in late 2008.
