Shenzhen Noposion sales up 11% in Q1
Chinese company Shenzhen Noposion Agrochemicals recorded a 10.9% rise in agrochemical sales to Yuan 347.3 million ($50.9 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2010. Net profit during the period was up 20% to Yuan 26.4 million ($3.9 million). In an otherwise torrid year for Chinese agrochemical companies, Noposion saw its 2009 sales rise 23.1% to Yuan 1,292.4 million ($189.3 million) due to a series of domestic pesticide business acquisitions ( Agrow No 590, p 6). Earlier this year, Noposion was named as a member of a strategic alliance for technological innovation in the Chinese pesticide industry ( Agrow No 592, p 25).
