India launches anti-dumping case against Chinese
The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched an anti-dumping investigation into shipments of the pesticide intermediate, para-nitroaniline, from China. The investigation was initiated after applications from the Indian chemical companies, Abhilasha Texchem and Amarjyot Chemicals (both Mumbai). It is the sixth anti-dumping investigation to be started by India against Chinese products this year, reports the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese embassy in India. The investigation covers the period from January 1st 2009 to December 31st 2009, while the industry injury investigation spans the period from April 1st 2006 to December 31st 2009. From April to December 2009, India imported para-nitroaniline worth some $3.2 million from China.
