FMC boosts agchem production capacity in Brazil
FMC is doubling the capacity of its flowable insecticide production facilities in Brazil. The expansion at its formulation plant in Uberaba, Mato Grosso state, includes enlarged production capacity for the insecticides, Furadan and Furazin (both carbofuran), Marshal and Fênix (both carbosulfan). The move is part of the company’s goal of meeting expected rise in demand for its products. FMC seeks to more than double its sales in Brazil to some $1,000 million by 2014 ( Agrow No 594, p 2).
