Monsanto hits back over Brazil soy supply dispute

Monsanto has hit back at Brazilian reports of its soybean supply policy. The company offers conventional and genetically modified glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready soybeanseed, it says. Monsanto and its subsidiary, Monsoy, further affirm that its Roundup Ready technology brings socio-economic benefits to farmers. The reaction follows a report from national business daily Valor Economico, detailing conflict between the company and soybean farmers, and their allegations that Monsanto is restricting the supply of conventional seed.
