China plans pesticide reserves reform
The Chinese National Development and Reform Commission plans to overhaul the system of disaster-relief pesticide reserves, reports the Chinese newspaper the AgriGoods Herald. Representatives from the Commission, speaking at the China Fertilizer Industry Summit, outlined plans to expand the scale of pesticide reserves and implement a joint industrial and commercial stockpiling system, the paper reports. The plans are currently under consideration. The commission is the government’s macroeconomic management body.
