US EPA to raise registration fees
The US EPA is to raise pesticide registration service fees by 5% from October 1st 2010. The move is in line with the Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act (PRIA II), which was passed by Congress in 2007 ( Agrow No 529, p 15). The move will increase the fee for registering a new food-use active ingredient to $569,221. The fee categories and decision times will be unchanged from those laid down in 2007 ( Agrow No 530, p 15).
