Syngenta debuts Durivo in Australia
Syngenta is launching the insecticide, Durivo (DuPont’s chlorantraniliprole 100 g/litre + thiamethoxam 200 g/litre), in Australia. The soil-applied product is aimed at the control of aphids, thrips and lepidopteran pests on brassicas, and fruiting and leafy vegetables. It is the only product that controls sucking and chewing pests in a single treatment for up to 40 days, the company says. DuPont received Australian approvals for the chlorantraniliprole-based insecticides, Altacor, Acelepryn and Coragen in 2008 ( Agrow No 545, p 23). Syngenta has a global licence for chlorantraniliprole in combination products.
