Syngenta seeks US sedaxane approvals
The US EPA has acknowledged the receipt of applications from Syngenta to register its new fungicidal seed treatment, sedaxane. The applications include a straight 45.5% formulation for use on wheat, barley, oats, rye, triticale, canola and soybeans. Syngenta has also applied for a combination fungicide, code-named A16874F (sedaxane 1.2% + difenoconazole 5.9% + metalaxyl-M 1.5%), for use on wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale, and a fungicide/insecticide, A17511B (sedaxane 0.7% + difenoconazole 3.3% + metalaxyl-M 0.9% + thiamethoxam 2.8%), for use on cereals. Sedaxane is one of five new active ingredients that Syngenta plans to launch by the end of 2014 ( Agrow No 597, pp 4-5).
