Iharabras debuts Sclerotinia seed treatment
Brazilian joint venture Iharabras has launched the first fungicidal seed treatment for the control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. It has introduced the suspension concentrate formulation, Certeza (thiophanate-methyl + fluazinam), this month for use on soybeans and kidney beans. The disease affects 2.5 million ha in Brazil across various crops and 2 million ha of soybeans alone. The product was approved for use on beans and cotton. The seed treatment guarantees good fastness, controlling various diseases such as Fusarium spp, Cercospora spp, Rhizoctonia spp and Aspergillus spp, the company notes.
