BASF debuts Vivarus in Argentina
BASF has launched the fungicide, Vivarus (pyraclostrobin), for use on soybeans in Argentina. The fungicide is for use against frogeye leaf spot ( Cercospora sojina), a major disease impacting last year’s crop, the company says. Vivarus is the only registered product for application at growth stages compatible with applications of the herbicide, glyphosate, and means the company has a product for each stage in the growth of the crop, it adds. Pyraclostrobin is already approved for use in Argentina on sunflowers, citrus fruit, grapevines, strawberries and berries ( Agrow No 511, p 19).
