Brazil demands more effective soy rust agchems
A Brazilian farmer association has called for new pesticide products to control the spread of Asian soybean rust ( Phakopsora pachyrhizi). “We need more effective products, as those on the market are not working well”, the CNA told the newspaper, Diario de Cuiaba. It further appeals for a “resolution of some bureaucratic problems at the national health surveillance agency [the Anvisa]”. The agency is one of the three competent authorities in the evaluation process for the registration of pesticides. It covers human toxicology.
