US approval for Syngenta's CruiserMaxx Plus
Syngenta has received US approval for the insecticide/fungicide seed treatment, CruiserMaxx Plus (thiamethoxam 247 g/litre + metalaxyl-M 37.2 g/litre + fludioxonil 12 g/litre), for use on soybeans. It is a combined formulation with a higher concentration of metalaxyl-M than CruiserMaxx Beans, which is a twin-pack of the insecticide, Cruiser (thiamethoxam 600 g/litre), and the fungicide, ApronMaxx (metalaxyl-M 11.5 g/litre + fludioxonil 7.7 g/litre). CruiserMaxx Plus provides increased protection against Pythium spp and Phytophthora spp diseases, Syngenta points out. It will be available for the 2011 season.
