BASF's Kixor approved for soybeans in US

BASF has received a US use extension for its saflufenacil (trade-marked as Kixor)-based herbicide, Integrity (saflufenacil 68 g/litre + dimethenamid-P 600 g/litre), and changed the name of the product to Verdict. It was approved for use on soybeans this month, following its 2009 registration for maize ( Agrow No 576, p 23). Verdict is recommended for pre-emergence burn-down and residual control of 46 weeds in maize, sorghum and soybeans, BASF points out. Verdict is the “only enhanced corn pre-emergence herbicide that is also labelled for use on soybeans”, says Kixor product manager Bryan Perry.
