Canada restricts rodenticides
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has established new safety requirements for eight rodenticide active ingredients to protect children and domestic animals. The measures are similar to those imposed by the US EPA in 2008 ( Agrow No 545, p 15). As in the US, the requirements do not apply to products intended for field use. The PMRA action covers brodifacoum, bromadiolone, bromethalin, chlorphacinone, difethialone, diphacinone, warfarin and zinc phosphide.
