Syngenta debuts Ampligo in Chile
Syngenta has launched its combination insecticide, Ampligo 150 ZC (DuPont’s chlorantraniliprole 100 g/litre + lambda-cyhalothrin 50 g/litre). It is a broad-spectrum foliar application for use on stone fruit against tortrix moths ( Cydia molesta), pome fruit for the control of codling moths ( Cpomonella), and tomatoes against leaf miners ( Tuta absoluta), among other pests. The launch is the first for the formulation in South America. The company previously introduced a chlorantraniliprole/thiamethoxam combination, Voliam Flexi, in Chile ( Agrow No 602, p 24). The product is a result of a deal with DuPont allowing Syngenta world wide rights to develop combination products based on chlorantraniliprole.
