Bayer drops US tralomethrin approvals
The US EPA has notified the receipt of an application from Bayer CropScience to voluntarily cancel the registrations of its products based on the pyrethroid insecticide, tralomethrin, as well as the active ingredient approval. The company has not sold tralomethrin-based products for several years. The insecticide is approved for residential and commercial use, including some crops. Tralomethrin is a metabolite of the insecticide, deltamethrin. Earlier this year, the Agency started the registration review process for tralomethrin and deltamethrin ( Agrow No 589, p 18).
