Canadian approval for Syngenta's Traxos
Syngenta has received Canadian approval for the cereal herbicide, Traxos (pinoxaden + clodinafop-propargyl). It combines the active ingredients in Syngenta’s Axial (pinoxaden) and Horizon (clodinafop-propargyl). Traxos controls grass weeds, providing more effective management of wild oats ( Avena spp) and Persian darnel ( Lolium persicum) than Horizon, Syngenta points out. It can be used alone or tank-mixed with broadleaf herbicides. Traxos will be available for the 2011 growing season.
