EU proposes to end glyphosate import duties
The European Commission proposes to repeal all anti-dumping measures on imports of the herbicide, glyphosate, from China. Duties have been suspended since 2009, following a Commission investigation that showed imports were at a low level and the European industry was in a good financial position ( Agrow No 586, p 9). The suspension is due to expire in February 2011. The Commission also proposes to terminate its ongoing investigation into glyphosate imports.
