Turkish approval for MBI biofungicide

The US biopesticide company, Marrone Bio Innovations (Davis, California), has received Turkish approval for its disease resistance activator, Regalia, for use on greenhouse tomatoes. It will sold in Turkey as Vertisol by the distributor, Boyut Dis Ticaret (Istanbul). The product is based on an extract of giant knotweed ( Reynoutria sachalinensis), which provides control of fungal and bacterial diseases. Regalia was launched in the US in 2008 ( Agrow No 553, p 23).
