Wynca sales up 6% in third quarter
Chinese company Zhejiang Wynca Chemical saw total sales rise 6.3% to Yuan 965.2 million ($145.1 million at the current rate) in the third quarter of 2010. Agrochemicals accounted for 46.3% of total sales, which include organosilicone products, in the first six months ( Agrow No 599, p 4). Despite the increase in sales, net profit for the three months dropped by 75% to Yuan 20.6 million ($3.1 million). Total sales for the first nine months of the year increased 9.5% to Yuan 3,203.8 million ($483.1 million), while net profit for the period fell 49.3% to Yuan 125.2 million ($18.9 million).
